Manager | LifeStreams

LifeStreams is an innovative learning program available to all Garth Homer Society clients, designed to create opportunities and learning experiences they may not have access to in their regular supports. Rooted in experiential learning and community connection, LifeStreams supports people in increasing their independence and autonomy. The program offers individualized, one-to-one support to help clients build confidence, independence, and practical life skills through hands-on, project-based learning. This position works closely with the CEO, Executive Director, and senior management to further develop and deliver the LifeStreams Learning Program and integrate this service with other programs of the GHS Centre for Learning and Employment. We are seeking a committed, skilled professional to join our team and help enhance the quality of life and opportunities for the participants we proudly serve.
Assistant Manager | Residential Services

Heron House, a charming Heritage Home in downtown Victoria, offers spacious private suites within walking distance of the Inner Harbour and iconic landmarks. Residents enjoy independent living supported by 24/7 onsite staff, personalized programs, and shared common areas like kitchens and outdoor spaces. As the Assistant Manager of Residential Services, you will provide oversight and support to the Residential Supervisor and Residential Support Workers, and be responsible to act in the role of Residential Supervisor when vacant. You will ensure the highest quality of client centered care is maintained at all GHS sites, responsibility for on call as assigned, and monitor to ensure documentation completed and is performed as per GHS expectations and policies.

Your duties include implementing Personal Service Plans, teaching life skills, assisting with daily activities and personal care, managing emergencies, administering medication, and providing emotional support.
Community Support Worker | Discovery Program

The Discovery team emphasizes developing social and communication skills through visual cues, verbal prompts, and structured activities. They create a fun and positive environment with both varied and predictable weekly schedules, tailored spaces, and support for group activities. In this dynamic role, you will assess participants’ strengths and needs, providing skill training and creating opportunities for independence and community inclusion. You will focus on recreation, music, and creative arts within Team Discovery, while also seeking community-based social, recreational, and learning opportunities.
Community Support Worker | COSMOS Program
1 Temporary | 1 Permanent | Part-Time
COSMOS supports young individuals on the autism spectrum with highly individualized programming, flexible activities, and tailored transition plans. The program provides a safe, nurturing environment with a sensory room and structured routines. In these positions you will support inclusion, offer emotional support, and coordinate placements while monitoring progress. Handle emergencies, collaborate with caregivers and agencies, and ensure health and safety standards. Administer medications, assist with personal care, and guide support staff.
Supervisor, Client Services | Community Inclusion

Welcome to our Community Inclusion Team, where we provide essential support and guidance to individuals with multiple or complex developmental disabilities, helping them thrive and belong in their community. The Supervisor works collaboratively with the Client Services Management group, ensuring that day-to-day operations within the department are implemented consistently and of the highest quality. This position is responsible for the hiring, supervision and development of casual staff in the Community Inclusion programs. In addition, the Supervisor provides value-based leadership and service quality for Community Inclusion clients, which includes pro-active, progressive and innovative leadership in the delivery of services.

LifeStreams Learning provides individually tailored learning strategies, social development, and job placement opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The LifeStreams Learning Vocational Counsellor will support individuals to identify, pursue, and achieve their goals.
